Ciao Caio ∙ ∙
'Ciao Caio', named after Pietrobon's great uncle Claudio, nickname 'Caio', currently owns and operates the factory. Artist and designer, Jenna Basso Pietrobon has re-envisioned the use and space of 'Terramica Ceramica', by dreaming of a space where artists gather, produce and learn about ceramics. Pietrobon understands the importance of preserving the ceramic production, the architectural landmark of the factory, while embracing the history with modern elements. Pietrobon's philsophy is to support the locat community and promote local and quality craft. Veneto, the region where the factory sits, is historically known for its ceramic production. 'Ciao Caio', is not only a place for production, but a home to artists, offering a place to work and showcase their craft. It is a residency not only for artists, but designers, architects and creators. The industrial building boasts arched ceilings, original terrazzo floors and metal windows, all to remain, creating a blank canvas for production and art to reveal itself.
