office, toronto
Towering over the Roy Thompson Hall and soaring views of the CN tower, this office space has views worth visiting. The reception area is deeper in tone and lined with screens that mimic grids illustrating the concept of a network, linking of chains, but also subtly expresses the company’s logo. The interior of the cabinetry concealed in the same grid pattern is lined with a pop of colour that ties in with the company’s branding. Within lies a bar fridge, coffee machine and shelving for additional storage. The large oak desk curves back around to provide a different place and atmosphere for people to work or gather before a meeting. A sliver of glass was strategically placed to get a glimpse into the boardroom, while keeping in mind the importance of privacy and sound. The remaining space is an open concept layout that is brightly lit creating an accessible working enviroment. The kitchen is located centrally and can be closed off by large glass sliding panels. Picnic tables and benches contribute to a casual and open minded learning surrounding.
